KCRA asks Director Houlton how California is leading the food security fight
On August 8, 2019 KCRA News Channel 3 interviewed Director Houlton alongside California Department of Food and Agriculture Secretary Karen Ross to better understand how California’s agricultural sector is leading the way towards producing food while simultaneously slowing the pace of climate change. California’s numerous programs in place – from dairy digesters and climate smart technologies to water efficiency and healthy soils – can translate nationally and internationally to dramatically reduce the human-caused impacts of climate change.
