From the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center

2017 has been a year of extremes. We are just finishing up the hottest summer on record (or close to it for many locations) and whether or not you are ready to admit it, winter is coming. After our relentless 2016-17 winter with flooding, blizzards, historic snowpack, and crazy winds, people are understandably interested in what next winter will bring. Is it time to freak-out yet? Join Chris Smallcomb, Warning Coordination Meteorologist and Tim Bardsley, Senior Hydrologist from the National Weather Service in Reno, for an in-depth look at potential impacts and predictability.

Registration for this event is required. The program will begin at 6 p.m. on October 26 with refreshments and no-host bar from 5:30 - 6 p.m. at 291 Country Club Drive in Incline Village (between Tahoe Boulevard/SR 28 and Lakeshore Blvd.) on the campus of Sierra Nevada College.

Seating is open at 5:30 p.m. to guests who have pre-registered, open seating starts at 5:50 p.m., and the program begins at 6:00 p.m. A $5 suggested donation will be collected at the door.
