The Road to Financial and Environmental Sustainability in California's Freight System




California has prioritized the development of sustainable freight operations to improve efficiency and transition to zero-emissions technologies. This shift will have broad implications ranging from how infrastructure is financed to the tradeoffs between greenhouse gas emissions, air quality, and energy use. UC ITS researchers will explore these issues using results from ongoing studies that address questions of both financial and environmental sustainability in California's freight system.
