Professor Rahamimoff Travel Grants Program for Young Scientists

Project Duration: Maximum length of 2 months
The Prof. Rahamimoff Travel Grants Program is open to Ph.D. students doing research that requires facilities or expertise not available in their home countries. The trips will be only to a higher education or a research facility in the USA, for Israelis, or in Israel, for Americans. The program will not support participation in conferences or trips by late-stage Ph.D. students.
The split program that applies to regular and startup grant applications does not apply to Travel Grants; applications in all fields supported by the BSF can be submitted each year.
The eligible areas of research are as follows:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Health Sciences (Medicine)
- Life Science
- Atmospheric & earth sciences
- Computer sciences
- Ecology and systematic biology
- Energy research
- Environmental research (air, water, soil)
- Materials research
- Mathematical sciences
- Oceanography & limnology
- Special Program (NSF-BSF)
Applicants must be U.S. or Israeli citizens. Applicants must be conducting supervised research towards a Ph.D. in an accredited higher education institution, or in a non-profit research institution (government or other, including hospitals).
Applicants must be 35 years old or younger.
Students in their last year of Ph.D. studies are not eligible to submit applications to the program.
