    The 137 faculty and researchers affiliated with the John Muir Institute of the Environment are leaders in interdisciplinary problem-solving, facing the environmental challenges of resource management, pollution, climate change, ecological economics, technology, urban development, society and culture.

  • Environmental Infrastructure Policy Papers Grant Program

    The John Muir Institute on the Environment has awarded seven grants to fund the development of policy papers by faculty, researchers and students in the area of environmental infrastructure. The final papers are scheduled for release in Fall of 2006.

Academics in Environmental Policy and Management

  • Professional Degree Program in Environmental Policy and Management

    The John Muir Institute of the Environment is developing a professional master of science in Environmental Policy and Management to attract students who have primarily scientific and engineering backgrounds. The program will be designed to help develop and interest in learning how to apply scientific results to environmental policy and management issues.
