Addressing environmental issues requires leadership and cooperation. Understanding how institutions develop, enact, and enforce policy is essential for facilitating meaningful environmental solutions. What factors influence the success of various environmental policies? What is the appropriate role of government in making and enforcing environmental policy? What issues are more appropriate for local governments vs. federal government? How do multiple stakeholders with opposing interests work together to form consensus solutions to environmental problems? These are a few of the many questions that UC Davis is striving to answer.
