Environmental Justice Project
The Environmental Justice Project engages with academics in discussions with policymakers and community activists on the topic of environmental risks and health disparities between communities. Low income communities, and communities of ethnic minorities are typically not engaged in municipal decision making regarding water, land use, energy and transportation infrastructure. Activists believe that this is a primary reason these communities are exposed to higher levels of air-, water- and soil-borne toxins
Center for Affordable Technology for Small Water Systems
This program, funded by the California Department of Health Services, provides technical assistance to help small, public water systems comply with minimum drinking water regulations, thereby increasing the availability of safe water for all Californian communities.
