Associate Director of UC Davis' Center for Watershed Sciences Joshua Viers recently published a study saying that a 7-degree Fahrenheit increase in temperature could reduce peak hydroelectric power by 30 percent. UC Davis scientists say officials must take climate change into account when relicensing hydroelectric water projects around California. (Source = UC Davis news release.)
