Landscape Architecture, Urban Development

Landscape architecture is the practice of land development that considers the landscape context in which the development occurs. The landscape often inspires or informs the design, implementation, and management of the project by incorporating natural features or characteristics of natural landscapes. By incorporating natural forms and process into development many landscape architects seek to minimize environmental costs and maximize environmental costs. The principles of landscape architecture can be used to promote more sustainable urban development.
