UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center presents: High Altitude Gardening - Garlic and Onions

Join Lake Tahoe Master Gardeners and UC Davis TERC to learn about the tricks of the trade in growing garlic and onions. These varieties are specifically chosen to survive tough Tahoe winters and provide a hearty spring harvest. Topics include proper varietal selection, location in the garden or container, planting options, and methods for protecting the young plants. Come to the Tahoe City Field Station to learn more and take some plants home to try growing them yourselves. $5 donation requested at the door.
