Muir Environmental Film Series
The John Muir Institute of the Environment at the University of California, Davis invites you to join us in looking at the creative and innovative ways that film makers present the relationship between humankind and the environment they inhabit. The Muir Environmental Film Series is committed to fostering interactions between the environmental sciences and the arts and humanities. It is our hope that the series will bring together students and scholars along with people from the public and private sectors to learn more about the way the environment and environmental science is portrayed in modern and classic film.
The Muir Environmental Film Series presents both fiction and non-fiction pieces which support the free and open exchange of ideas in environmental stewardship. We are continually seeking new sources for ideas, such as the possibility of sponsoring other touring film festivals as part of the series. Suggestions from faculty, students, and other participants are encouraged.
