It is an unfortunate truth that people do not equally share environmental burdens such as effects of pollution, climate change, and resource depletion. A further tragedy is that those most negatively impacted tend to be those that do not have political power to improve their situation, while those that do have the political power actually create a majority of the environmental burdens. It is matter of human rights that these inequities be remedied. Davis faculty examine the ethical and legal issues surrounding this important issue.
