Economics

The purpose of economics is to develop models that explain and predict or advocate for decisions and choices. Many economic interests are antagonistic towards environmentally sustainable interests, but the tools of economics can also be used to justify and optimize environmental solutions. What are the cost-benefit trade-offs of conservation actions? How can these actions be incentivized? How do we make appropriate decisions with incomplete information? These are several of the many economic questions that can help people make the correct decisions regarding resource use, conservation actions, and public policy.
