Are you a scientist that is passionate about the work you do and want to share it with the world?!

Then become a Science Communication Ambassador and learn how you can develop your skills at Orientation for SPEAK on Friday October 20 from 2-3pm at 3001 Plant and Environmental Sciences!
SPEAK stands for Scientists for Public Engagement And Knowledge and is the new outreach program launched by the UC Davis Center for Watershed Sciences.
SPEAK is a science communication workshop series helping scientists make their research accessible, engaging, and influential. SPEAK helps connect the public with trusted science, because science makes our lives better!

During orientation, we will provide an overview of the program, explain why science communication is important, how SPEAK can provide you tools to help communicate your science to various audiences, and answer any questions. No research experience is needed to be a good science communicator, all you need is enthusiasm and an interest in creating content! SPEAK will help with the rest.

The workshops are open to all students, faculty, and staff. Please share this opportunity with anyone you think could benefit from this program. Send questions to Megan Nguyen at meknguyen@ucdavis.edu. View the attached flyer for more information.
